Plurality Rule

So, in the book, I am learning the demonstrative pronoun and then it gives several example. One of them is Ang mga iyon ay malilinis. It was explained earlier that for the plurality rule, you can choose to pluralize either subject or predicate and still maintain the meaning of the sentence. The book then give two other examples: Ang mga iyon ay malinis or Iyon ay malilinis. Just wondering, which pluralization is preferred, subject or predicate?
